Why do you charge for out of hours check ins?

A typical day for us begins at 7am and ends at 6pm.

When guests don't arrive by 6pm (or other pre-arranged time) and we hear nothing from them, we worry... we do!

We text, we call, we cancel our evening plans, then finally we cancel the booking or apply a €25 charge to the booker's credit card while we wait.

Tell us in advance that you will be late, to avoid this inconvenience.

Why we cannot offer refunds for late cancellations

When you book with us, we're really rather excited, reserving your room and preparing for your perfect stay with any special requests that you have.

Cancelling at short notice often doesn't give us the opportunity to re-sell your room.

Why does everyone have to be present at check in?

It is a bed and breakfast within a family home.  Unlike hotels, for the safety and security of everyone here, it's natural that we would want to meet and identify everyone who is staying in our home.
